I took a break from drawing my video game comic to draw a video game comic while I tried to remember the story in the Bouncer.

Questionsoo I sent you a valentine's day e-card but it says you still didn't view it.. type in tumblrlinks[dót]cóm/?cautionslippery69 then sign up as ''cautionslippery69'' and view premium inbox Answer

… What? Why would I have to sign up under another name to view anything? If you legitimately sent me something and you want me to see it, all you have to do is send it here. Or, you know, email me, if you know it already. :P

I’m frankly just going to assume this is some kind of prank.

sometimes i think “gee maybe i should make a comic about my genderbends” and then i laugh and continue to be lazy

also I’m convinced that sniper is an awkward baby that doesn’t know how to interact with other people.  no amount of badass sniper fanart will change my mind

I like it when they’re all socially awkward. But sweet socially awkward Sniper is one of my favorites. So adorkable… C:

skepsys:

i drew this with the intention of putting as my facebook profile banner since it’s my job to be as weird as possible on fb, but then i cleaned it up a bit and i guess i’m posting it here too WHOOPS

I don’t reblog a lot but I figured Engie in chaps should have a sexy Native American headdress Solly to go with him (and I’m too lazy to source all of the other gorgeous “cowboys and indians” pics I have of them.)

chiizupi:

a fine piece of work

I guess this makes my blog nsfw

I will never, ever tire of any TF2 men in just chaps. Especially Engie and/or Solly.

Favorite Comic Book Series/Graphic Novels: Stinz (German centaurs in WW1), The Goon, Bone, Empowered (kinky, funny, and heart-breaking? Yes please), Asterios Polyp, Mouse Guard, Hellboy, Secret Six, Roxanna and the Quest for the Time Bird (fantastic twist at the end)

Comic Books I still need to read: Y: the Last Man, Dead Pool (at least a few), more of Carl Barks’s Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck stories

Comic Character I love in spite of everything else: Wolverine.

I love it when they team him up with a teenage girl, regardless of whether or not she’s a mutant, because I love the fatherly qualities it brings out in him. I have a huge thing for the kink but an equally, if not bigger, burning desire for a realistic fatherly relationship because it seems to come up less frequently? (Maybe I’m simply blind to all the great literature regarding such; working in a book store for so long eventually made reading remind me of work, even though I couldn’t read except during my lunch breaks.)

I really don’t even ship Wolverine with anybody. My love of his character circles around when he’s the underdog (somewhat rarer circumstances), getting the shit kicked out of him and succeeding anyway, or when he’s looking out for someone else who really needs him. I actually enjoy the way his horrible love-life always works out because no one he’s fallen for, that I remember anyway, has been that interesting. This is probably because, in most cases, we don’t get to know his love that well or because he’s not shown with them for very long (more or less) but even Jean Grey never interested me that much, so… I have no idea. :V

I will admit they’ve had a lot of dumb stuff involving him but basically I just like the protective aspect of him, no matter who he’s protecting, I guess.

Favorite Board/Card Games: Dominion (and all expansions), King of Tokyo, Seven Wonders, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Fluxx, Pandemic

Games I feel I’ve played too much of and/or less interested in playing now: Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Arkham Horror, Small World, Forbidden Island, Munchkin

Games I want to like more than I actually do: Android (by Fantasy Flight; such beautiful fluff and so complex but also complicated to learn), Mansions of Madness, Anima (the card game), SPANC (Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls), Girl Genius: the Works, Quarriors, Dungeons & Dragons Inn Fighting, Talisman, Ascension, Arena Maximus, Age of Gods, Dungeons & Dragons Three-Dragon Ante

Games I like but am not very good at: Most resource management/worker placement style games (such as Agricola, Stone Age, Puerto Rico, Dungeon Lords, etc.), Acquire

Games most recently introduced to and enjoyed: Space Alert, Eminent Domain, Last Night on Earth

Games I still need to play: Warhammer Invasion, A Game of Thrones (card game)

Games I really should play more of: En Garde, Guillotine, Red Dragon Inn, Tribune, Cyclades, Mission: Red Planet, Chez Geek

Magic the Gathering and the World of Warcraft TCG: I like them but the money it takes to keep current and to have good decks is terrible. The WoW TCG isn’t as bad but any TCG is like that, really. I understand the best way to get cards is from drafting or buying them directly but even then, it’s just not worth it for me. I’d rather play Dominion.

Favorite Tabletop Roleplaying Games or Games I just really want to play again: Grimm, Fantasy Craft/Spy Craft, Warhammer Fantasy, Champions, Changeling: the Lost, Victoriana, Jadeclaw, Exalted, Scion, In Nomine, Legend of the Five Rings, Anima, Savage Worlds, a Game of Thrones, Pendragon, Seventh Sea

Tabletop RPGs I still need to play: Fate, Monsters and Other Childish Things, Reign, A Dirty World, Big Eyes Small Mouth, Maid, HârnMaster (technically I played it at a convention once but that isn’t enough to really get a feel for it), Deadlands (classic; keep almost getting a game together and never actually playing in it)

Games where I enjoy the fluff but find the dice mechanic a little lacking: Anything published by White Wolf, really

Still Enjoy D&D?: Yes but it’s a nice fall-back rather than a go-to kind of game

Pathfinder?: I wasn’t able to play enough to really make an opinion. It had some very unique classes and I enjoyed what little I saw of it in action. Realistically speaking, it’s D&D 3.5 revamped, so I’m not chomping at the bit over it.

Table-top Wargames I own miniatures for but never played: Confrontation, Malifaux, Warhammer Fantasy, Warlord (by Reaper), Anima, Celtos, a few more I don’t even remember well enough to figure out which game it was (most of these were bought either because the minis were nifty or I intended to get into it and never did)

Wargames I meant to buy miniatures for and still might some day: Wargods of Ægyptus (mostly for a few of the Bast minis)

Wargames I do intend to play at some point: Malifaux

Wargames I have played but haven’t played in awhile: Warmachine/Hordes

Most of what my miniatures are (not even accounting for the armies): Sundry animals (mostly wolves), Werewolves (male and female), Centaurs (male and female), Unicorns, Pegasi, Elves (male and female), Beastmen (humanoid animal people, furries basically, male and female), Adventurers (male and female), Minotaurs (mostly male, one female), Demons (mostly female so far…)

Warhammer Fantasy Armies: Wood Elves (of course I bought Orion), Beastmen with a side of Slaanesh. I love all of the Warhammer Chaos Gods (Papa Nurgle!) But Slaanesh is my favorite. :V

Warmachine/Hordes Armies: Circle of Orboros :V (werewolves and satyrs? Yes.) Was considering Cryx for the Satyxis… oh Skarre. Love the beasts for most of Hordes in general (including Minions), if nothing else. Not branching out though. My SO and one of our friends own so many factions as is.

Malifaux: Neverborn, specifically Lilith (demons… but I love the Dreamer and Lord Chompy Bits too), but I love the fluff in general and most of the factions have at least one leader and typical crew that appeal to me

Confrontation: Wolfen of Yillia (though I picked up some random ones as well and still wish I could’ve gotten the box with the beautiful sort of mist-angel-things); for all intents and purposes they’re werewolves

Minis I still want to buy some day, even though they serve no purpose: A lot of beautiful things from the Cool Mini or Not store… namely King Auberon and Queen Titania, some demons and fairies… that’s what I remember off the top of my head. Many of which were nude (including King Auberon.)

First Miniatures ever owned: Two wererats and three werewolves. I bought them before I even knew what they were for. I just thought they looked awesome. The former two might have been Reaper but the werewolves were specifically to represent Bone Gnawers from Werewolf: The Apocalypse.

First online RP ever joined: Sonic the Hedgehog… back when there were only two cartoons

Feelings about Rule 34: I don’t understand the people who become shocked when someone takes one of their childhood cartoons or whatever and turn it into porn. I was doing that kind of thing, mentally if not artistically/in writing, ever since the budding onset of puberty. I don’t find everything sexy but the act of putting anything into a sexual situation, in and of itself, doesn’t generally astonish or disgust me. That depends more on content and context than origin. For instance, I don’t personally find Smurfs sexually exciting but I’m really not surprised or disgusted by the simple idea of Smurf porn, just because I watched it as a child. Smurf porn with vividly depicted urination is another matter entirely, since that isn’t one of my kinks. Plus, artistic capability does count. If it looks like someone pasted Papa Smurf’s head onto a super-model’s body then that’s going to look weird no matter what. :U

Anime and Furries: I like them. I’m not deeply into either as a fandom, in and of themselves, because they’re such insanely broad and encompassing things. I find it funny that people look down on the people who enjoy them but, at the same time, I understand why people are so judgemental.

Semi-guilty Pleasures: Wakfu the French cartoon series (actually not certain how guilty it is but they are all fan-subs), Viva Pinata (wish our X-Box hadn’t broken down… a lot of stuff literally broke or died on me in 2011), The Sims 3 (wish I had the money for the most recent expansion but eh… I get into it for weeks at a time and then stop playing for several months, so it’s probably for the best), Pokemon (but I still haven’t gotten the most recent game, set in pseudo-America… I keep buying the games and either getting stuck or forgetting where I left off so that it’s hard to continue when I pick it back up.)

dearcoketalk:

Dear Coquette,

How do I accept that I won’t ever be great or outstanding? I always thought I had talent, and maybe I’m not bad, but a great many people are far better. I can’t stop thinking this and it’s causing me great anxiety.

Kill your ego, because nothing you do will ever matter. That’s okay, though. It’s not just you. It’s all of us. It’s taken 100,000 years for our species to hump and grunt its way into momentary dominance on this pale blue dot, but nothing we’ve accomplished is all that outstanding when you consider that a Mall of America-sized asteroid is all it would take to turn humanity into the next thin layer of fossil fuels.

Greatness is nothing but the surface tension on the spit bubble of human endeavor. On a geological time scale, our measurable effect on the planet is a greasy burp. We are seven billion tiny flecks of talking meat stuck to an unremarkable mud ball hurtling through space in an unimaginably vast universe for no particular reason. There is no difference between kings and cripples, my friend. We’re all the same hodgepodge of primordial goo, and the pursuit of greatness is a fool’s errand.

Pursue happiness instead. Find peace in your insignificance, and just let your anxiety go. Learn to savor the likely truth that the sum total of human achievement won’t even register in the grand scheme, so you might as well just enjoy whatever talents you have. Use them to make yourself and others happy, and set aside any desire to be great or outstanding.

That’s not to say you shouldn’t do your best. You should. If you’re talented, by all means, exploit that talent to the fullest extent possible. Just don’t do it for the sake of greatness. Do it for the sake of happiness. If the distinction is a little hazy, that’s because your ego is doing its best to get in the way. Your ego wants to put you on a pedestal at the center of the universe. It wants to convince you of silly things like jealous gods and life after death. Your ego would never allow you to believe that you are anything other than a special snowflake, which is why you have to kill it.

Annihilating your ego is the quickest way to happiness. Embracing your insignificance will make your anxiety suddenly seem ridiculous. You’ll recognize petty emotions like schadenfreude and envy for the childish tantrums that they are. You’ll stop comparing your talents to others, and you’ll be able to enjoy being good at something without the need to be great.

This reminds me how comforting the Galaxy Song, from Monty Python and the Meaning of Life, is to me. I tend to forget this kind of thing, even though I know. I always know. It’s simply so easy to forget.

Of course, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword too. It means the end of my life, no matter when it comes, is equally meaningless so it really doesn’t matter if I kill myself like I’ve been meaning to for… eh fifteen years or more? Easy to lose track of time. I’m very good at procrastinating.

"

I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.

So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.

The Scout toyed with his tie, the infernal contraption intent on strangling him.  He felt stupid, the tie and suit were not his normal style.  However, what does one do when you have court?  He breathed in, stepping into the corridor that lead to the transport.

“Hold it sister!” the Soldier barked, causing the Scout to turn around.  His breath caught in his throat as he saw the man, dressed in his full military finery.  Damn, he thought, that man scrubs up well.

The Soldier, on the other hand, reduced his pace to a crawl as he walked up to the Scout.  He normally only thought of the boy as a kid but as he got closer, he could see how manly he was.  He reached out and touched his tie, the silk cold and soft in his hands.

“Damn son,” the Soldier said, “You look like a million bucks”

That comic and Mael… yes.
